ROCKET ROADSTER

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Applies to the Rocket Roadster game (Android, iOS) and this website

The short version

1. Who we are

Rocket Roadster is developed and published by VKL Apps ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data processed through the game and this website. You can reach us at contact@vklapps.com.

2. What we collect and why

In short: very little, and only to run and improve the game.

a) Game data on your device

Your settings (sound, music, vibration, graphics, language, privacy choices), your pilot name and your best runs (score, distance, time and date) are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Your pilot name and saved records stay on your device. Usage events and technical reports may include scores, settings and run context as explained below. Deleting the app or its data removes the local copy; it does not automatically delete reports already sent.

b) Game configuration

When the game starts it may download its current settings from Firebase Remote Config (for example, whether online features are available). The request includes a random installation identifier created by the app, the app identifier and the configuration SDK version. Why: to deliver the game correctly. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the game.

c) Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — on by default, can be turned off

If the game crashes or hits a serious error, a technical report is sent: the error and the code location, device model, operating system and app version, memory and storage status at the time, a Crashlytics installation identifier, and game context (which screen was open, graphics setting, language, distance of the current run). Reports contain no names, contacts or precise location. Why: to find and fix bugs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a stable game. Your choice: Settings › Privacy › Crash reports.

d) Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) — only with your permission

If you tap Allow, the game records gameplay events linked to a pseudonymous app-instance identifier:

EventWhat it contains
Screens openedMenu, game, settings, help, records, pause
Run started / endedScore, distance, duration, max combo, how the run ended, number of ROCKET modes, SUPERNOVAs, shockwaves, near misses and tricks
New personal bestScore and distance
Settings changedWhich setting and its new value (e.g. graphics "high")
Result sharedWhether the share sheet or the clipboard was used

Firebase Analytics also records basic technical data such as device model, operating system, app version, language, an app-instance identifier and an approximate country or region derived from the IP address (the IP address itself is not stored by Analytics). Why: to understand how the game is played and improve balance and performance. Legal basis: your consent. Your choice: Settings › Privacy › Usage statistics; withdrawing consent stops collection from that moment.

e) Online leaderboard — only if we enable it

The game is currently played offline. If an online leaderboard is enabled in the future, the game will create an anonymous account (no email, phone or social login) and send, for each finished run, your pilot name, score, distance, time, max combo, a short run log used to detect cheating, the app version and platform. Your country is derived from the connection to build regional rankings. Pilot names and scores are visible to other players. Legal basis: performance of the service you choose to use.

f) This website

This site does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. It remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. Our hosting provider (Firebase Hosting) processes standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.

3. What we never do

4. Who processes the data

We use Google Firebase to operate the game and process technical reports and usage statistics.

Crash reports, usage statistics, game configuration and website hosting are provided by Google (Firebase), acting as our data processor under the Firebase Data Processing Terms. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates, with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Learn more in Privacy and Security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy.

Our Google Analytics account has Google products & services data sharing enabled. When you allow usage statistics, Analytics data, including app interactions, approximate location and app-instance identifiers, may also be shared with Google to analyze usage patterns and improve its products and services. For this additional use, Google acts as an independent data controller under the Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms, rather than solely as our processor. Google states that this setting does not use the data for ad targeting or personalization. Google signals is disabled and this property has no linked Google Ads account. Aggregated, de-identified measurement data may also contribute to modeling and business insights. See Google Analytics data sharing settings and the Google Privacy Policy. These Analytics settings do not apply to Crashlytics reports or Remote Config requests.

5. How long we keep it

DataKept for
Game data on your deviceUntil you delete the app or its data
Crash reports90 days
Analytics event-level data2 months in our Analytics property
Analytics user-level data14 months; this period resets when new user activity is received
Online leaderboard entries (if enabled)While the leaderboard exists, or until you ask us to delete them

These Analytics retention settings do not apply to standard aggregated reports. Data Google processes for its own purposes under the sharing setting is subject to Google's privacy and retention policies.

6. Your rights and choices

In short: you are in control, and you can ask us anything.

You can turn usage statistics and crash reports on or off at any time in Settings › Privacy, and delete all game data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, the UK, Brazil under the LGPD, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email contact@vklapps.com. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for details that help us find data linked to your installation. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children

Rocket Roadster is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information through an online feature, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored by Google with industry-standard protection. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as possible to keep the risk low.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. For important changes, such as new types of data, we will also tell you in the game and ask again where consent is needed.
